Improved skin quality

A platelet rich plasma (PRP) facial – the “vampire facial” made famous by Kim Kardashian – uses concentrated growth factors from the patient’s own blood to stimulate skin cell turnover, collagen and elastin production.
A PRP facial improves skin texture, heals acne scars, brightens skin, smooths out soft lines and wrinkles, improves skin elasticity, reduces dark circles, and smooths the skin under the eyes.
The treatment process step-by-step
Step 1
The treatment takes about one hour, which includes a detailed consultation with your doctor.
Step 2
First, numbing cream is applied to your face. This enables us to administer a local anaesthetic without causing pain.
Step 3
We then apply small local anaesthetic injections to ensure the entire facial area is numbed.
Step 4
We take a blood sample from your arm and extract the PRP.
Step 5
We microneedle the face to create new microchannels.
Step 6
We inject the PRP into various points in your face.
Post-treatment instructions
- You may experience minor discomfort, bruising and/or swelling. This should go away in a few days.
- It is advisable not to apply makeup to the treated area for 24 hours or so.
- After the full course of treatments, we recommend one repeat session every six months.
Enhanced skin regeneration
Stimulates collagen and elastin production to support natural skin renewal.
Improved tone and texture
Helps brighten the skin and improve overall smoothness and elasticity.
Natural rejuvenation
Uses your own blood-derived plasma for biocompatible skin improvement.
Frequently asked questions
Patients should not be treated with PRP if they have abnormal platelet function, chronic liver disease, or clotting disorders.
As with all injection procedures, risks include bleeding, infection and nerve damage.
The PRP comes from the patient’s own blood. Therefore there is no risk of immunogenic reaction or disease transmission.
We perform this procedure under local anaesthetic to minimise discomfort.
The results normally last 6–12 months.
These effects develop fully over three months as your collagen levels increase. You should begin to see these results within a few weeks.
