Facial Asymmetry
Facial asymmetry refers to differences in facial balance or proportion between one side of the face and the other.
Facial asymmetry is common and often subtle, resulting from natural differences in bone structure, muscle activity, or facial movement. In some cases, asymmetry may become more noticeable with ageing as volume loss or muscle imbalance develops.
Areas such as the jawline, cheeks, lips, and eyebrows are particularly affected by changes in facial balance. Repeated facial expressions and dominant muscle use can also contribute to uneven appearance over time.
Non-surgical aesthetic treatments may be used to support facial harmony by restoring balance and proportion. The aim is not to create symmetry, but to improve overall facial coherence while maintaining natural features.
Individual assessment is required to determine suitability and ensure conservative, tailored treatment.
