Plasma Bio-Filler for the hands is a remarkable and innovative aesthetic treatment that instantly rejuvenates the hands, adds significant volume and plumpness, and smooths out fine lines.
You will see significant results as soon as the treatment is finished. The effects will become more pronounced over the next few months owing to the action of the growth factors in the bio-filler.
The treatment process step-by-step
Step 1
The treatment takes about one hour, which includes a detailed consultation with your doctor.
Step 2
We apply one small local anaesthetic injection to the back of each hand to minimise discomfort.
Step 3
We take a blood sample from your arm and extract the PRP. This is placed in a dry incubator to obtain the Plasma Bio-Filler.
Step 4
We use a cannula to administer the Plasma Bio-Filler into each hand.

Post-treatment instructions
- You may experience a small amount of bruising and/or swelling. This should go away in a day or two.
- Be extra-careful with your hands for the first 24 hours after the treatment. Try to avoid activities such as washing-up and picking up heavy items, and don’t apply moisturisers or hand creams. Also, don’t go to the gym.
- Over the next four weeks, take care not to apply strong pressure to the hands.
- Drink 1-2 liters of water a day for optimum results.
- To maintain your results, we recommend a booster session as needed (approximately every 3-6 months).

Patients should not be treated with PRP/Plasma Bio-Filler if they have abnormal platelet function, chronic liver disease, or clotting disorders.
As with all injection procedures, risks include bleeding, infection and nerve damage.
The bio-filler gel is derived from the patient’s own blood. Therefore there is no risk of immunogenic reaction or disease transmission.
We will usually ask you to a review appointment 14 days after the treatment. There is no charge for this review.
